In total, this album is all shine with almost no brain. It grooves, but it barely progresses. It changes things up with five seconds of clean guitar on one track and some orchestration on another, but it never feels completely natural. Monument of the End has some good tracks, but even the singles are hardly up to par with songs like "The Entity" or "Architects of the Apocalypse," which I actually prefer. In other words, that was a good thing. Other than the redeeming factor that was the last track, this album was very mediocre.
